looking to install bucket seats in my 1987 olds cutlass supreme. the seat are out of a 87 cutlass . my car has 4 mounting brackets . the original seat in the car were split bench. will i need to make any changes to the mounting brackets position to install a set of buckets.

Nope, the buckets should bolt up to the existing brackets and go right in.
You lucked out. Based on everything I understand about bench to buckets, split bench is standard on Brougham and optional on Supreme, which has the right mounts installed already. If you have the standard Supreme long bench, you would have to find the inner mounts. I've never had anything other than buckets in my G-bodies, so I cannot give first hand experience.
I was one of the many that had to add the additional center mounts for buckets. I'm glad I did. I like my buckets.
thanks,picking up a set of seat wednesday i'll make sure i test fit them. i've installed sound dead insulation on the floors. sure hope i don't have to move the brackets.
