I'm looking to upgrade the stock upper and lower A-arms on my '85 Monte. What is a good upgrade that is also budget friendly? Also, I've seen tubular ones made for circle track racing. Are they strong enough for a daily driver?

yes they are strong enough for a daily driver, I use them and the only thing is you need to grease them regularly.

Thanks. What are you using for lowers?

I have stock lowers. The reason I went with the tubular is I run tall spindles so I need 7" uppers compared to the stock 8"

You might check out UMI performance there's don't cost much I think that's what I am going to use.

Thanks for the recommendation, we appreciate it!

We offer a very nice set of A-Arms at a decent price made here in the USA. We just redesigned them as well and added some new features our older style didn't have such as bump stops, steering stops and more caster for alignment. The upper A-arms are supplied standard with delrin bushings and can be purchased with or with out ball joints. The upper A-arms allow 6+ degrees of positive caster as well. I posted a link below to our kit, please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

How are/did your UB Machine arms hold up? Did they get much street use, did you get the steel or Teflon bushings?
