Buick N/A 3.8 and th200 worth anything?

It was pulled from an 87 regal

If you ever get north of St. Louis closer to IA and want to part with it I will take it for scrap value. Just don't want to drive 6 hrs for it but Id drive 3hrs to get it.
 
If it has a 109 block, rolled fillet crank, 8445 cylinder heads, and a decent front cover - all are desirable items to a Turbo Buick owner.

Not likely. How much do you think it's worth in scrap though?

How can I tell what I have?
 
Considering it's an 87 I'd guess it's a safe bet it's a 109. That said it ain't really worth the effort opening it up for maybe a bit more.

That is your call. Those parts still command a decent dollar - better than scrap. I have an '86 3.8L that I am going to check before junking.
 
Really there are only three types of people that would buy an NA RWD 3.8.
1. People who blew up their 3.8 and just need something to drop in and work.
2. People who (sigh) out hydraulics on and hop the damn thing like an excited Chihuahua but still want it to drive.
3. Nutjobs like me who, given enough time and money, would spray that b*tch into the 12s in a mini truck.
