just got this car from savannah tn last week and I am going to paint it and do a little motor work so I decided to do a thread

it has a 305 and came with a ton of dents and very bad paint

That's coincidental. My GP has deer impact damage to the LF and drivers door.. which also occured in Georgia.
Have fun with the project!.
 
right now I am in the process of stripping the paint, using the dent puller alot and detrimming the car

here is another dent that needed some attention


this dent is a royal pain in the hands

I just posted my project to wake up my 1983 Grand Prix 305 motor - you might find it interesting as you plan your motor work.
 
what are your plans for it? Looks like a good start cept for it's battle with the deer... :lol:
 
Gotta love southern cars. In Chicago, by the time the paint got to be like that, the car would have been swiss cheese. Hopefully you've got it stored or you're protecting the metal as you strip it? I know of a body shop that stripped a '69 Charger and let it sit outside for months... 😢

these are the wheels that I hope to put on it after a bit of sanding buffing and polishing

I have no idea what kind of wheels these are but they are unilug and need adapters for the bolt pattern i need
