Haven't posted an update here in awhile so here it goes. ALOT has changed on this car. In March it went through another phase of upgrades including alky injection kit, 4in intake, Aerospace billet 4 piston front brakes with 12in rotors, Moser rear axles and rebuilt posi, all new body bushings, GNS LED tail lights, and GN bumpers shaved and painted to match. Unfortunately, someone vandalized the motor at a car show and everything internally was damaged. Currently the new build is underway and will be a force to be reckoned with. Should be fully capable of a low 10-high 9sec pass. Looking to have it back on the road in August sometime. Preview of new build:
-4.1 block bored out to 4in with Eagle 3.625 stroker crank, 4.5ltr 274ci
-Molnar forged rods, custom Diamond forged pistons, Comp roller cam 220ish
-M&A fully ported aluminum heads, T&D rockers, Morel lifters
-Champion intake, 72mm plenum and TB
-RJC FMIC
-PT7168hpq turbo, GN1 headers

Thanks guys. My best guess is sometime last fall or this spring at a show someone popped off one of the valve cover breathers and dumped in a cup of beach-like sand. Probably happened between oil changes. After the last dyno tune I drove a 300 mile round trip to Kirbans open house. On the way there I was loosing oil pressure. No idea how I made it home. There was a teaspoon worth sitting in the head, a layer in the pan, main/rod bearings/crank scored and worn, piston skirts and rings damaged along with the oil pump. New build will have a catch can system with fittings on the valve covers so this doesn't happen again.

Actually sold the Z back in April. Owned it 6 years but was starting falling apart and was killing me on gas driving 100 miles a day. Bought a Chevy Cruze turbo and the amout I save in fuel alone is paying for the car. First time it snows this winter I'm gonna miss it :( .
