I know using these isn't nearly as complicated or "cool" as building your own LED lenses but have any of you considered them?

I've been curious how they would actually look and work compared to stock bulbs and here's a good example:

wow dude thats unbelievably a huge difference

Honestly, I have decided not to even piss with the LEDs. LEDs burn out just like any regular bulb, and as far as conserving energy goes, I don't think it's all to important on our cars. My Cutlass, as do most all of yours have the prysmed lenses, so you couldn't even tell the difference between the LED light and the incondesent with out them sitting right next to each other. And nxt time your out and about, look for an early 2000s Cadillac with the LED center brake light; try to count how many you see with just one or two or even half of the LEDs burned out, and how crappy it looks. The novelty of it is really cool, but I'm going to pass. Oh well.

LED's have at least 3 times the life of regular bulbs. I've used LED's with success in my DD S10 and I think they look pretty good. Maybe after the digital dash I may step it up and go with LED's in the rear and in the dome light. However, the reverse lights, the regular bulbs project better than LED's.

i work for a company where we load and unload trains and the trucks we used are called hostlers and the reverse lights are led and their super bright but blue in color if i can get my hands on one of them I will try n post a pic Ive been wanting to do this setup with my big body calias

I guess all I'm saying is that after that "3 times the life" is up, you have a burned out LED that has to be soldered to replace, and personally, it's a pain in the butt for me. To each his own, but I have no intention of doing it myself.

Dont give up!! Man you are almost there as far as figuring it all out. The market for this on our cars is growing biiig time. I have some sequential led brake led's for my Elco and I get hit up all the time about em. I'd be all over it if I had the skills to do em. If at first you dont succeed.....

Are there any comparison pics out there? Like converting one side to LED & taking a pic with OEM in the other side.
