i was just wondering y cadilac never came out with a gbody? or did they? or they just didnt call it a gbody ? any answers?

i think this may have came up before, and i dont think they did, but then again im not so positive on that answer, so maybe someone else would like to throw there 2 cents in on this one?

Caddilacs from the late 70's and 80's were based on a revised RWD x-platform ( Nova, ventura ) and renamed the Dbody ( if memory recalls ). No gbody Cadillac

While were on this topic, are caprices known as b-bodies? I'm thinking of the larger front disc brake conversion that some people do and they say the brakes come off the b-bodies.

Yes. Chevy Caprice, Olds Delta 88, etc.

If I recall correctly the A-body front wheel drives were the only car to be produced by all of GM's divisions.

You recall incorrectly. The only car to be sold by all five traditional divisions was the J-car. Cavalier, J2000, Skyhawk, Firenza, and Cimmaron.

The first gen Seville (which was built from 1975-1979) was actually based on the Nova X-body platform but it was changed so much that GM gave it the K-body designation. Many Nova suspension parts do interchange, however.

The 83 eldorado has a striking resemblance to an G-Body even though its not.
