If you end up swapping the fuel tank, be grateful the tank is relatively cheap. Beware of the sender. It's made of unobtanium... as in......

OBSOLETE!

I finally found a NOS one online and the guy knew what he had and bent me over for it.

I bought an aftermarket fuel line (for my Q-jet install) from Jeg's. It also didn't fit properly and had to be modified. I ended up cutting it to install an inline fuel filter anyway. It all worked out in the end. I still would've rather liked having an OEM type fuel line...no muss, no fuss.
I would've much rather have gone with Inline Tube or Classic tube than the generic junk that's offered.

Perfect fit no guessing custom made by you!!!

Inline Tube got back to me and said no on the Buick V-6, but inquired about the (Buick) 350 saying it should fit to see if they have one off-the-shelf. If that’s a strike-out, then might try the DIY route. Part of the adventure, right? 🙂

The 350 fuel line won't work without modification...
Luckily modifying the carb end is (fairly) easy and the complex bends are unaffected.
You'll need a flaring tool and a tubing bender like the one posted earlier.

Make a new line with some Nicopp line and a couple of fittings.

If I'm going to DIY route, any recommendations for type and source for tube stock & fittings? Also, 304 or 316 steel? It says 316 steel is "extremely ductile" which would be good for forming and bending. I know I'm going to need a bender and flare tool. Thanks.
