Im wanting to have a custome radiator shroud made for my cutlass. Looking for someone that has or can use a cnc or plasma cutter w/cad and a metal brake to make this shroud. Send me a PM if you can do this and I will send you my design and pictures of my mock up, which works well, but needs to be stronger material. Thanks!

nobody>? huh...i thought there were some moonlighter fabricators on this site....bummer.

Don't give up yet. I'm sure someone will come forward with suggestions, or an offer to fabricate this fan shroud.

What material do you have in mind for the shroud? I'm thinking maybe an aircraft grade aluminum or stainless steel.
Why not post a pic of your plan or mock-up on here.

Mainly because I dont want the idea to be stolen and made for profit without first having one made for me. If the right person can make this shroud, they can make it cheaply and sell it for profit at a decent price. My goal is to have the first one made for me and they can use the design afterwards as orders come in. In otherwords, i want to trade my design for a the actual part. I have made it with very lightweight aluminum sheeting, but its too flexable and rattles a bit. SS or AGA would be better, just not sure of the cost factor.

I could see your point. However, if you're going to the extent of not disclosing your idea, why not have someone make a prototype and perhaps you can capitalize on it yourself. Have it patented.

A patent costs too much and I am not out to capitalize, more of a barter. This design is simple in form, but not easy to do without some serious thought and would require a lot of calculations on paper first. I am just wondering if the idea could work really.
