Call the Police, Postmaster and report to the FBI wire fraud authorities, what he did was commit wire fraud.
I would have given him 30 days and then called the authorities... I've done it before with excellent results
The FBI doesn't mess around when people commit wire fraud, no matter what the sum... I have two in my family that are FBI agents.
There's no excuse for deadbeats...sad part is this country is FULL of them like this POS, that's why it's goin to sh*t... the corporations no longer care and went elsewhere, that's why no one has a job and resorts to this crap... and Omama isn't gonna hold your hand either... and shouldn't, that's called communism.

First, call your police department, get printouts of the communication history and file a report.
Next, call his police department and do the same, if they tell you to contact your police department tell them you already did and you would like for an officer from their department to go over to the guys house with the information provided.
MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM THIS GUY IS COMMITING ONLINE WIRE FRAUD FOR A LARGE SUM OF MONEY.

This was commited, it is a felony no matter how large the sum is...

I've done all three with sucess, it was about 4 years ago someone decided not to send a crossmember... I wound up getting the refund from the deadbeat's stepdad, turned out the guy was screwing others over as well... his user name was weedahoe.
I think other's should have pursued CHRISCUTLASS in this matter... it's their fault they didn't and shouldn't complain because THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT...
I myself don't fvck around with anyone, if anyone fvcks me no matter how small I go after them tooth and nail...
I use every resource to my disposal to make sure justice is done, I never forget...
