You need to tell us more info on what your 'stock' 305 has. Not all 305's were built the same. You need to tell us what gears you're running too. No cam can be accurately picked without knowing the proper information.
That cam is not a great cam for an Olds. There are much better ones, but you need to give more info for anyone to accurately pick out a cam. This includes your intended use of the car.
FWIW, Ultradyne/Lunati make cams that work very well in Olds engines.

As others have said, gearing and converter has a huge role in deciding cam choice. If it's a street-only car, low and mid-range response is much more important than high rpm hp. A lopey idle may be cool, but when your power brakes have no boost and the thing makes no power until 3500 rpm you can tire of a big cam real fast. All the major cam companies have 1-800 tech lines to help you decide which can is best. We all want more power, but go conservative and you'll be happier in the long run.
