get a comp cam 268 or even a 262 would be mild for your sbc and it should work with your stock torque converter

but with a cam it will start to lean out ur qjet maybe and lean is bad so i would suggest if i getn a cam might as well replace the intake and carb while u at or re jet the qjet u got

That cam wont give you a lope at all. Do you have stock heads? what type or casting #?

Beat me to it. Duration is prolly about right for stock compression but less LDA for more torque and a little lope in the idle. Try the same grind but with a LDA of 108 instead of 112.

well 3 people have said comp cams 268 so thats what im going to go with. as for the intake and carb im going to get new stuff this weekend thanks for the input

Im sorry, but why are we discussing a Chev engine question in a Cutlass / 442 / Hurst/Olds forum???

Because it's a Chevy powered Cutlass

If you want something with lope, get something with a 110 LSA. My summit .442/.460 cam has plenty of lope and gets plenty of torque but I've heard good things about comp cams 262 and 268 cams. Only complaint I've heard about comp cams is excess valvetrain noise with certain set ups.
