camaro seats help

alright so my car is an original 60/40 split bench

so today i went out and bought a camaro passenger side seat

took the tracks off the camaro and put my old passenger side bench tracks on....now i tried to fit them into the car and looks like its off a good inch or two.

i dont have any fab skills or materials whatsoever

so what do i do here to get them to fit correctly?

What year Camaro did your seats come out of? I've got 3rd gen Camaro front seats in my '83 Cutlass and all I did was swap my benchseat tracks to the Camaro seats with no additional modifications. My car also had the 60/40 split benchseats.

Oh, that's a 4th gen. Maybe their narrower than 3rd gen seats.

X2 that's what the problem is......Now if they were from mid 80's you'd be set.....If you know someone at a welding shop/machine shop that's an easy fix friend!!! 8)

found the problem....just need to pick up a set of actual bucket seat tracks from a monte or something and should do it

I hate to piss on your parade..the 60/40 and bucket seat brackets are the same 8)

over on malibu racing someone said that buckets and bench tracks are different....but now thats got me thinkin....


guy over on montecarloss.com said he had the same problem with his bench to bucket swap but then he said he got a pair of bucket tracks and worked just fine, so i think i might just test it out

really dont wanna cut anything for these seats

I dunno about that...I had 60/40 spilt bench in my car and I put buckets in it and used the same tracks??? I'm thinking he had a full bench seat and not the split bench 8)
