I may be wrong but the 79 did not come with a 350. The largest displacement was 305. There was a dealer option for the 350 diesel but I've never heard or seen one around. With that said, the 305 pushed about 150~170 hp. That, coupled with the 3400 lbs. they weighed gave it about a high 16.00 low 17.00 sec 1/4 mile. Tuned really well with a higher rear end.. say 3.73, you might get a mid 16.00 sec out of it. Don't laugh at the 305 though, I know guys who got up to 400 hp out of them by boring and stroking it. Remember, the 305 "is" a 350 with a smaller crank and pistons.

You may be right, I'd have to do some digging but here are some guidelines.

a 200 HP 350 average 14.9 to 15.2
a 250 HP 350 average 13.9 ish
a 300 HP 350 average 13.0 ish

These are rear wheel HP averages and are pretty accurate.
