Yes, the stick is still there. I am contemplating switching to a Super T-10 but it needs a rebuild. First gear is very close to the current Saginaw. I just can't bring myself to drop and overhaul a perfect Saginaw just to fix the stupid speedo gear inside. I also saved the 400 out my Trans Am that had the ST-10 behind it. Maybe I should use the 400 with my T-400 automatic for a super tow wagon. Decisions, decisions, and no time for any of it!

I like those Pontiac 400's, I had one in my 74 GP along with the TH400

Those are called ribbon driveways. I only learned that when I was forced to put one on the side of my house. A neighbor had filed a complaint with the city because of a car parked on the dirt. Apparently that creates "dust pollution."

"Dust pollution"? Isn't Arizona mostly desert? Last time I was in the desert- all I saw was rock sand and dust! What does he do when the wind blows?!? I'm giving your neighbor a cyber prescription for a laxative. It sounds like he's suffering from chronic constipation.

btw, with some smarts you could pull the column trim off and disable to steering wheel lock at the ignition switch.

I thought about that. Is it similar to GM? I mean this car is probably going straight to the crusher. I could just take a BFH to it.

CONCLUSION!! Well, I got a call from one of the salvage guys I contacted regarding the car with no papers. It must have been a slow day as he asked if it was OK to come and get it right now (this was yesterday). I said sure but he was concerned about his truck fitting in the gate. I assured him I could get it clear and went over to get it ready. My son-in-law and I pushed it straight out to the street. Then we took Jared's advice and used his 3 ton jack to get the front wheels off the ground. Then we turned the jack towards the parking lane and pushed/shoved/pulled the car into a parking spot. Dropped the car down and as he rolled the jack back to his place he shouted out that the flatbed is coming right now. Timing is everything! The guy loaded it up and was gone in no time. I called the relatives and told them the car was gone and they were ecstatic. Now they can get a dumpster into the driveway and start clearing out the house.
