The previous owner of my 1979 Cutlass Calais changed the interior color slightly, and I'm interested in going back to the factory color. Can someone decode this plate and inform me of the EXACT paint color of my interior panels so I can paint them back to the original factory OEM color...?

I'm going to say that Ruby Red is the color. I don't see 79T listed per say in the list below but all the 79 codes are pointing to Ruby Red.

http://www.rpocodes.com/

The code 74E. I was looking at the 79 but your car has a vinyl top so it'll have a code too.

It's on the left, second line.

15L is for the lower color, silver metallic.
79T is for the upper, in this case vinyl top, Dark Carmine, which looks to be a bit faded... mix up some vinyl dye and restore it.

AR9 - Reclining Buckets
CC1 - T-tops
CO4 - Vinyl Top
BX2 - Lower Rocker Wide Molding
B51 - Lower B/S Wide Molding
D35 - Side Mirrors

Body was built second week of May
Built in Lansing, MI
Sequence #: 548602
