Anything on the interior color? If the vinyl top is "Dark Carmine", what color is the interior?

From what I heard, '78 and '79 were two years where the vinyl top and interior were not the same color.

That goes for any year...
Paint codes dude... it's all about the paint codes, they are on your body tag, 74, 15 and 79.
As I mentioned above, 74 is dark carmine interior color, paint codes are in the link I provided.
Vinyl top is dark carmine 79, it's an exterior color.
Just because they have the same names doesn't mean they are the same color.
The paint codes are the colors, not the name... and interior colors are not the same as exterior colors.
Go to a body shop and have Dark Carmine 79 from the GM book mixed in a vinyl dye with adhesion promoter and spray your vinyl top, or leave it...
Give them the Ditzler or Dupont numbers in the link for Dark Carmine 74 and have them mix up the interior dye with adhesion promotor.

Ok, it all finally makes sense. I was wondering how the interior and exterior could have the same color name, but like you just said, the name is irrelevant....what matter is the paint codes! Thanks a lot for that clarification!
