Any recommendations on what bulbs I need to get my gauges lit up, or any replacements that might even upgrade from stock lighting? Thanks

If they are factory gauges they should be a 194 style bulb, you can use a higher wattage incandescent bulb but I would suggest upgrading to LED bulbs the only thing is you won't be able to use the dimming feature.

I don't have a factory dash but I installed LED's in my Autometer gauges, I tried a few different colors and all were pretty bright but with these gauges the face was easiest to read with white, plus with a black car and camel interior it's not like I could match a dash lighting color to anything.
I am sure Halogens would work fine as far as brightness but they put off a lot of heat and draw more power than LED's.
This is the 5 LED style in my gauges and as you can see they are pretty bright and fit in place of the 194 style bulbs, you can use less or more LED's per unit to make them more or less bright depending on space.

I used these bulbs in my gages also and they made a big difference in my cutlass, much brighter now
