So I'm in the final stages of my ECM deletion.
Got my regular non-computerized dualjet rebuilt and put it on. It started right up, but quickly jumped to around 1500-2000 rpm idling in park. So i backed the idle set screw all the way back till the throttle plates won't go back anymore, but it still idles waaay too high.
All the vacuum ports I'm not using are plugged off, i've checked and rechecked the torque on the mounting bolts and airhorn bolts. Tryed playing around with the mixture screws, no good.
When rebuilding, I did remove the metering rod adjustment screw (then later read NOT remove it, stupid me), so not sure if it's still in the same original place or if that would even affect the idle speed. Float is adjusted to the proper height. Choke works perfect.
Don't know if the jet size would affect this, this carb originally came off a 79 chevrolet v8
