airboatgreg has a good point, too much fuel pressure. The pump you have is rated for 7 lbs but the Quickfuel says no more than 6.5 lbs. Do you have a fuel pressure regulator?

I recently rebuilt the Carb but just put a fuel regulator on it last night. Thing was getting 10 PSI. Crazy I know lol. I think i have to replace the carb tho because when it is tuned low for my cam it chops but soon as I drive it the thing dies out. When we re-adjust it for High idle it runs fine now. Just think the carbs beat up too much now so will replace soon.

Been there, done that and had a friend with the same. Cam is mismatched to the combo- no carb will help. Reevaluate the total build or live with the over rich, high idle situation, IMO.
