Car stalls in tight corners
The float positions are different. Holley's are front and back, Edelbrock is side by side. This can cause the fuel to cut off when turning sharp. Right? I've always had the same problem with my Edelbrock carbs, so as soon as I can I'm gettin' a Holley!
Can't say for sure how the Edelbrock's are setup but I can tell you the Holley's/Demon's are front/back. Which if he swaps to a Holley, his next question will be why the engine is dying under hard breaking.

That's the whole reason I went to an EFI setup after I noticed during a panic stop my engine died with the Demon on there.

i have a plain old 600cfm holley and jus the other day i did a panic stop no prob at all but in tight turns it seems like it wants to choke out but my car isnt tuned right either lol

Full tank of gas every time. I made sure of that. We are running a mechanical fuel pump. Does it to the left or right.

If we left foot brake (meaning keeping one foot on the accelerator) the car is fine. This keeps teh revs up to about 2000 rpms.

Just to clarify, we tried fuel pressures between 2.5 and 13psi. That is the range of pressures we used.

Thanks for the help so far! I would really not want to buy a new carb just to find out it does the same thing!

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd chime in my 2 cents. I've had this exact same problem for about three months - while turning a corner, my engine stalls and dies. I tried replacing the steering box with a quick ratio steering box from an SS, this did not correct the problem, but it did make it less so. Now the RPMs just drop a lot (and I lose a lot of power in the turns) but at least it does not stall. I think the problem might be in the pump. Also, I've noticed that the pump I am using leaks a lot, and seems to be always low on fluid. I still haven'[t figured out what to do to correct this.
