I used Montway Auto Transport ( https://www.montway.com/) in late June/early July to bring a 79 Monte Carlo from Longmont Colorado to Buffalo New York.
While they do run a fleet of trucks they were primarily a broker on this contract. Took 3 "Transporter assignments" before the car was picked up. -Delay of about 6 days-
The Carrier who fulfilled the contract was Barlet Trucking out of Easly, South Carolina and I would use this carrier again in a heartbeat. He worked with the previous owner on a pick up schedule, notified me of his progress, and delivered a day ahead of schedule. Jeff and Carol were good people to work with!
I used Montway as well. I moved my car from Iowa to Houston. They acted as a broker and gave the job to an independent driver. It was enclosed transport. He was great and his equipment was nice. I can't find his card and it kills me because I would recommend him in a heartbeat. When I told him what I paid Montway, he winced at how much they were making on the deal. There is one more place I can look when I get home. If I find his card I will post it up.

Great guy! Great experience. It will depend on how much flexibility you have with dates and where he's at. He's in his early 60's I would guess and is in business for himself. Here are some pics of his truck and my car on it. The Camaro was headed to Hennessey Performance in Sealy, Texas for a twin turbo setup. It already sounded pretty mean. Sealy is probably an hour from my house. It was the next stop.
Some things to remember, make sure you have a company that offers a guaranteed pick up and delivery date. Some companies will hold your car at a yard until they have a load going to your area. Some brokers will require a deposit that might be non refundable. That could be an issue if they promise to have your car picked up by a certain date and things done go as promised.
