I'm just trying to see if anyone has had some experiences or can give me some input to aid in my build...I am trying to determine as well as I can before hand what size carburetor I will need for the new setup and whether or not I'll finally have to upgrade from my stock fuel pump..Car is pretty much a weekend cruiser but I love to take her out on the remote parkway by my house and open her up, also will definitely see some track runs but not too often since none exist too close to me. I have a 650cfm carb I have that I'll see if its enough but I kind of doubt it.

Okay final setup on the build is as follows: 355 sbc, 3.480 & 4.030 w/ 5.7 rods...nothing special there 9.8:1 compression
64cc aluminum heads, 180cc runners, 2.02/1.6
High-rise dual plane intake
full hyd. roller setup
.510/.520 lift, 1.6 rockers make .544/.554 & 230/236 duration, 282/288 advertised duration, 110 lobe

700r-4 trans with some nice upgrades, not completely upgraded yet
8.5" posi rear w/ 3.73s on 26" tall tire
Running a/c, power steering, power brakes

might have some power brake issues with that 110 lobe sep. i would rather run a 112 sep which i am in a rull roller setup for power brakes. it will give you more vacuum.

I was under that impression, but COMP cams and my engine builder tell me I will have no problem. Also I have proper check valves and have vacuum canister. So keeping my fingers crossed on that one. My last cam was a lot smaller with lift, but had 110 lobe and I had no problems.

i gotcha. im running a howards retro roller cam .530 .545 233 241 @50 112 lobe sep with 1.6 scorpion roller rockers, 195cc 64 cc profiler heads, 2 valve relief kb flat tops, 10.3:1 comp, eddy rpm manifold with porting, holley 327-11 fuel pump 110gph, 750 eddy carb and also have a 650 demon

your 650 will prolly work just fine to be honest as will a stock mechanical fuel pump

You will be fine on the brakes. My cam is a 110 and had no issues.
