i want to put a holley carb on my 307, and i don't have the EGR system on there. if i put a holley street avenger with an electric choke on there would all the vaccum hoses hook up, and would the choke and throttle linkage hook right up to it?

honestly man i wouldnt mess around with the 307's carb. its tied directly into the distributor. the rochester q jet is optimal for this engine and with a few cheap mods it will run pretty good for a daily driver. what you wanna get is a vin 9 camshaft from a 442 or H/O. it will boost horsepower by at least 20hp.

if ur olds is a 85 u need a vac advance dist to run the holley and a 570 holley would work on ur 307 and u would also need a adapter plate to mount the square flange carb

couple things for running a non ccc computerized carb on a 307.First you need a pre 1979 olds 350 distributor, only because you'll be running a non computrized setup, the distributor is tied in with the harness for the ecm, along with the stock qjet.Second, you'll need an open plenum adapter plate to fir the holley properly, when using one of these plates, hood clearance with a stock hood will be tight and you may need an open element dropbase too.Third, remove all ecm wires from the engine, vaccum wires, elcetric lines you wont need, etc.
