Looking to rebuild my stock 307 carb on my 85 cutlass supreme any suggestions or products I should use or should I just buy a new one?

Buy a quality rebuild kit from Cliff Ruggles, Qjet Parts, or Carbs Unlimited. Cliff is about the best. Use a thick carb mounting gasket and use a torque wench on the mounting bolts. Recheck the torque after a heat cycle.

I have built hundreds maybe thousands of Q-Jets as I was a drivability tech for a lot of years. Back in the day my favorite was a NAPA Echlin kit followed by AC Delco. Get a nitro phyll float, not a brass or a hollow plastic one. Do not mess with the main well plugs unless they have already been molested with. There are some special tools needed to properly rebuild it and the tamper proof TPS adjustment plug can be tricky to remove so you can properly adjust the TPS. You have lean stop and rich stop adjustments as well as idle air. Make sure the plastic cam on the secondary air valve is still there and make sure the throttle plate is not wore out. That can be fixed by re-bushing. Do not overtighten mounting bolts

Thank you for the advice
