Does anybody by any chance know how much force (lbs or Kg) a Q-jet throttle return spring has? I'm still trying to make this carb'd remote start work, and I don't know how powerful my solenoid for the electric carb primer (make sense?) needs to be, and I'm thinking of getting one off ebay.

I would say it is not very much - but unsure of the measure.

Will it start w/o any touch from the gas pedal? Probably not, the choke on my Holley has to be set with a foot.

Could you use the old style Q-jet idle stop solenoid that came with the bracket. I think they were used for kicking up the idle for ac or to stop run on and then wire it up to a relay for the remote?

It doesn't move it enough to set the choke and put some gas in there. The trunk release solenoid would have worked perfectly, but not enough power. Seems like I need about 3/8" or so of movement.
