carter/edelbrock carb. help with vac.

Just getting car running good but i cant get the heat to switch vents and carb doesnt seam to be running as smooth as i think it should so i pulled vac lines off front of carb when car is running and im not feeling any vac or hearing the engine change when i pull the lines any ideas on what i have going on , also vac off the distributor seams to be same way, when i pill line it doesnt feel to be sucking or make car stumble when disconected .. that line is attached to the pass sideor drivers side .help im lost

What did you do with the big vacuum port on the back of the carb?

Large vac line on back of carb is going to brake booster ,manifold rear port going to transmission as told by trans guy that built my trans he said to give it that one by its self . But im not getting pressure in the heater lines either to actuate the flapes to change the vents, hoping i can figure out the vacuum can and this will fiz my problem.
