Hey guys,

I know mamy of you guys are running the aluminum radiators made by Champion. I'm wondering what the core tube size are? I'm looking at a 3 core but would like for all three cores to have a 1 inch diameter. Also hows the fit and quality of these radiators? thanks!

You don't need 3 1" cores. That's crazy overkill and your radiator would be wide as hell too. You only need a decent sized 2 core.

I had a Champion for about a day. By my definition, the fitment was not 'direct bolt in'. It's just Chinese crap IMO.

Fit was passable, the drain position was annoying. The cooling was fair at best, no better than the aluminum/plastic one core replacements, maybe slightly less. As said buy something like the Griffin Dominator for the F body. The A/G body one they sell is too wide. I have the Champion currently in my Olds powered 94 chevy 4x4. I cools better in it, probably more air flow. I have a too wide and tall 2 core aluminum rad that runs probably 10 degrees cooler. I have it full of stop leak, leaked between the cores and JB Welded the filler neck and still out performs the Champion.
