I am in the process of changing over my 87 elky to floor shift. I have a stock shifter from an SS. What brackets and other items do I need to complete the job?
Thanks

Im not sure, but dont you need a steering column from an SS also to at least make it look right.

Well, you will need the column, shift linkage, console, and all attending brackets. I do not know if the linkage differs when going from a 3 speed to a 4 speed, so be aware of possible differences there too. The column could be taken from any G body with the same multi-function switch as you have. If your wiper switch is on the dash, you need one from a car with that style electrical system, etc.

SS

I bought an entire interior, dash, steering column, console, etc out of an 86 SS. I didn't get the shifter cable brackets with the shifter. I am trying to line up all the parts I will need prior to starting the job. My El Camino is 4 speed overdrive now. Same transmission as in the donor car.
Thanks
