So, i bought 3.42's for my car. They fit the 2 series carrier. Im going from 2.29's to 3.42's, how much of a difference does everyone think I'll see? Also, is a 40 mile drive and $100 a good deal to have them changed? A trusted mechanic in Lansing NY will be doing them. I just want to make sure I'm not gettig ripped off

Sounds like a good deal. I thought 3.23 & up used the 3 series carrier?

I went from 2.29s to 3.42s in mine. Very happy with it. $100 is a good deal and worth the drive.

Thanks for the input. Now i have to get the mechanic to take the old tires on the front and switch them out with the new tires on the back for the drive home if you get what im saying lol

I did a 200-4R swap shortly after and my cruise RPM is exactly the same. Better acceleration and in town mpg with no penalty on the freeway. All around win!

I'm runnin a th350 and plan on keeping it that way. The most I'll be driving is about 60mph for an hour and a half. And that's if i ever go to the mall. Other than that im gonna be staying within fifteen miles of town
