Figured this might be an interesting topic.
So lets see some of your at home cheap and/or easy mods that have helped improve your car.
Let it be an engine mod, apperance mod, suspension mod, or any other.

Ill start off with one i did yesterday cost me a whole $23 bucks and deffinetly made an improvment.
Rear stabilizer bar.

Covered my rear deck, and the rear panels above armrests, and put speakers in them. Tinted marker lights, custom cnc freeze plug insert( nice little enhancement, make custom ones for sale) mainly just done visual things so far, as my motor is alright for the time being.

here's one I just learned about recently... Larry454 did up this pinned distributor for me

there is a pinned stop for the rotor so it cannot advance beyond this point. This way, you can set max ignition advance on a motor at very low rpms and it will not advance past that rpm. Great for those who want good torque off the line, but don't want to sacrifice horsepower at the top end.

I never thought about swapping one of those. I know I like the one in my Deville! Anything special about doing it or is it just a matter of 12v?

I bought some plain black engine spray paint at pep boys or something ($15 maybe) and sprayed the block. Covered up the rust, looks a lot more acceptable. My 305 was rusty and nasty before but it looks alright. It's kinda obvious but still its a cheap thing that would take maybe an hour.

LS1 Rear Brakes ( $200.00 ) #1 best driveway mod in my books

Pulled the seats and carpet to give them a thorough shampoo in an effort to get rid of the PO Vanilla Musk stench from the car ( cost $0 but it took a full 5 days to wash and dry everything 3 times to get rid of the smell )

Polished the lip on the alum wheel ( cost $40 in sandpaper + polish and no fingerprints for 2 weeks )

98+ Blazer front disks ( not really cheap for me at almost $1k in new bearings, rotors and pads + the $250 I paid for the spindles) but it is a true driveway mod that doesn't require a lift, cutting or welding. #2 best driveway mod in my books !

What brand of shampoo did you use? I'd love to do this.

Also I remembered buying new coolant jug and winshield washer fluid jugs (around $20) really improve the engine bay too.
