so today was pretty successful
well havent had too much time to work on my car
so today i actually got a chance to do some work
it started off with me wanting to pop the dent out of my fender
so while fighting a mean hangover
i went straight for the 5hr energy shot lol
so got the fender pulled off
used a 2X4 and a hammer
keep in mind im no super expert with body work
in fact this is the first time ive ever done body work
so tell me what you think of it

AFTER

So that would be the first body work ive ever done
keep in mind the body shop near my house estimated me at 700 bucks to fix it my repair..................FREE!
so after putting the fender on some how me and my dad decided hmm lets put a cherry bomb(GLASSPACK) on it
so i run to autozone buy the cherry bomb and the new clamps
well upon my return my dad is still attempting to get the stock muffler off
so after attempt after attempt no luck so he runs to walmart to get a hack saw
so he comes back and i still have no luck getting the thing off
so he cuts it off
well the cherry bomb was a direct universal fit
so that was pretty cool just put it on and clamped the hell out of it
keep in mind the cherry bomb is just temperary till i get my 350 fully built still trying to collect parts and stuff for it
once i drop that in ill get my duals run with magnaflow 40 series mufflers
but for now this was just fun and interesting
and i know everyone is wondering
how is that gonna sound
well think of a cutlass with a stock V8 in it with stock exhaust on it
idk it has a very quite rumble to it
even at idle while i rev it its still not too loud and sounds good
of course i know everyone else is going to think im a jackass
but the exhaust shop new me wanted 350 bucks to run full duel exhaust with lame *ss mufflers
so heres some pics in your ninterested tell me what you think

Fender looks good for your first attempt at body work. If a body shop gave me a $700 estimate for a fender I think I might have hit the guy.lol. You should check out some of your local junkyards to see if you might be able to find a mint fender then you'd just need to get it painted ,but for now till you get the engine done I think it looks fine.

To each his own with exhaust. If you like it that's all the matters. 😀

well thanks man yea i thought it looked decent for now only bad part during fender removal is that i broke the 2 clips that hold the chrome trim on so ive been looking for those clips and checked out a couple used auto parts places today non of them had cutlass's there about extinct up here in ohio cause all the salt

looks allot better!!

for exhaust i ran duals with "raptor" mufflers. they dump down just infront of the rear axle.

i had a cherry bomb on my 307 powered cutlass, sounded real good at idle and low rpms.Good job

Fender looks alot better! My first car was a 1980 regal with the 265 4.3 v8 and i put a cherry bomb on it and dumped it in front of my passenger rear tire lol. If i revved it enough i could shoot flames out of it lmao, to be young and dumb.. ended up throwin a rod about 3 years after i got it with 101,000 miles on it. still spotless body but i traded it for a :puke: 1990 Ford ranger that ran. i have regretted that since a minute after i did it .

$350 for full duals? Wow, I paid about $700 for mine (with cheap glasspacks).
