So Ive been talking to Cliff Ruggles (http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/) the guy who wrote the Quadrajet book, he says he can modify the CCC Carb for me so it will run right on my 403. His exact E-Mail to me was:
Computer controlled carburetors aren't really any different to "Set up" than standard units. The computer only controls the M/C solenoid, or part throttle A/F ratio. Idle, and heavy/full throttle fuel/performance is not controlled by the computer.
Not much you can do with the cruise circuit, but we can modify the idle and secondaries as described in the book for non computer controlled carburetors.
We sell complete HP kits for CC carburetors, with high flow needle/seat assemblies, HP accl pumps and Viton parts were required....Cliff
So I'm thinking of doing it he says it will cost me 250 plus parts/shipping for a complete rebuild, including bronze bushings, recalibration, performance work, upgrades for etanol, and he test runs them. has anyone used Cliff before and what kind of results have they had? Also is it worth just buying the parts and trying to do it all my self I do have his book?
