just found a set of clutch pedals the otha day, took the old bracket of my olds, put the pedals in and they seem too short. They are out of a 70 camaro, so now i need to hunt for pedals and linkage if anyone can help me out i would greatly appresiate it, anyone have any spare parts or any good websites that sell kits withh a decent price. thanks in advance.

pedals on a 78 malibu will they fit in my 85 cutlass, will the length be good or will it be like the camaro pedals

the 78 malibu should be very close, the f body ones wont work, unless you modify a set from an 80 f body, if that is the case i think i may have dimensions written down for the pedals. ebay you can usually snag a set of g body pedals for like 150 bucks, or their are new kits somewhere for like 300ish

im going with a full hydraulic setup with hydraulic throwout bearing because the g body housings need a special fork for the throwout, or you need to modify one to have a slight bend in it to fit right. i thought it would just be easier to do it this way, plus i got my pedals and bearing as a set from somebody. the pedals are out of i think an 80s 5 spd camaro, modified to fit

there is a set of pedals on ebay for 70$ from a 78 malibu, you think i should go ahead and buy them

If you go mechanical, the only bolt in pedals are from 78-81 A/G-bodies. You can modify 3rd gen F-body pedals as noted here:

...or, as mentioned, you can go hydraulic. I went this route with a 92 T5 c/w a canted bellhousing.

would a hydrolic kit work on a muncie 4 speed, what cars have conpadible hydrolic slave cylinders, clutch fork, and bell housing if i cant use the one i have. Is it easier to hook up the mechanical linkage or vis virsa. i dont know to much about the hydrolic set up. i would greatly apressiate your help thanks.

I used John Bzdels clutch pedal which is a direct bolt in. It's made to use with 84-97 hydraulic assembly, but the later 93-97 assembly is the better option since it has a braided stainless line rather than plastic line found on the earlier models. The assemblies come complete from GM with the master, lines, and slave. The hydraulic assemblies must be used with a bellhousing that accepts the slave cylinder. If you are using a Muncie, I'm not sure if there are aftermarket bellhousings that accept a slave. Technically you could use an 82-92 T5 bellhousing/fork since the trans bolt pattern is the same, but the trans would be rotated 17' to the driver, which the muncie isn't designed for. To get around this you would have to modify the shifter arm, as well as the trans mount. In short, if you want to go with a muncie, stick with a mechanical setup for simplicity.

www.musclecarsonly.com also has the kits, and they are the cheapest I found when I was originally looking to use my mechanical bellhousing/fork.

soooo i got the clutch pedals and linkage, z bar etc. i was wondering how everything hooks up i have a mocked up motor and the transmission in there, and i just put the clutch pedals in. I know the one rod goes threw the cruise control hole then what, can anyone inform me on were everything bolts up, iv never done something like this, any post on this already, thanks
