Looked at these three brands for my 79 Malibu and was wondering if anybody can chime in with their likes and dislikes. The thing I seem to like is that Detroit Speed offers a 3" axle tube option but that isn't a deal braker. It's for a daily driver and every now and than track car.

Also, can anybody recommend a shop in Georgia or Alabama maybe?
Thanks and be safe out there

I have the RideTech setup. It's very nice. There was a delay in getting the shocks for a couple of weeks at the time because they were backed up but I'm glad I went this route. It's the old adage, buy once, cry once.

Everything bolt in pretty easily? We've all had those "bolt in" parts experiences
You have to cut the ears off the spring pocket inside the frame, the a arm mounts needed to be spread because often times they've been crushed when originally assembled. Besides that was pretty straight forward.

Speedtech Performance also has front and rear coilover kits with either Viking or Ridetech shocks available.
The front kit looks like a good setup, although some fabrication and welding is required.
The upper part looks like it would be stronger than using the stock shock mount for both shock and coil spring.
The rear kit also has what looks like built in adjustment in the bracket.
Just another option !!

I've got Ridetech arms and coilovers at all locations on my car. Rear install was simple. Front install did involve some persuasion to get the lower arms in place and modifying the frame as stated above. I picked coilovers for adjustability and would do it again. Would not be afraid to try UMI arms either.

I have gone through this whole thread so I am not sure if you guys have mentioned these.
They released the kit not long ago. Still haven't done my research them yet.

I've put the Viking double adjustable coil overs on the front of mine. The install was easy and rides better then the lowering springs.
I'm currently installing the rears, but with the Quick Performance 9" the lower brackets don't fit. I'm presently making a set of lower brackets.

I went with UMI suspension on my car with viking coil overs.. Only down fall is I had to cut my front spring pockets out to clear the coil over... Car drives great and even better on the autocross track

Hey 06 dodge cr,
I’m getting ready myself to decide on what suspension Set up and body mounts bushings to buy. Just to be clear, when you mention cutting out the front spring pockets, you’re talking about the pockets in the stock control arms or the UMI tubular arms? Probably a dumb question, but i rather get laughed at than buy something I don’t want to deal with 😂thanks in advance.
