Coming Soon To A Gas Station Near You: Cheaper Gas!

Gasoline prices are falling? Good--I'm happy for you guys.

Meanwhile, I just keep on daily driving for free (thanks to public charging stations) in my commuter EV.

they're giving those cars away for free???....oh and the taxpayer paid for the charging station and the juice to feed it...

Nothings free. Electricity generation costs money.

True enough. But if a company decides to promote their 'green' side and puts a few charging stations in their parking lot to encourage EV owners to frequent their business, well, who am I to complain? Sure, they absorb it into their cost of doing business... but it is such a dramatically small cost that it hardly measures on their financial radar.

With dirty, nasty coal!

😆 As a nation, we are down to only about 25% of our electricity coming from coal... and every year, that percentage grows smaller. As time continues to march onward, our electricity keeps getting cleaner and cleaner. On the other hand, five years from now every gallon of gasoline that an ICE vehicle burns will continue to pollute just as much as it does today.

But that's not the point of this thread. As I said, I'm happy that gasoline prices are coming down. Perhaps I'll go home and get the Grand Prix out, just because.

WalMart = $1.75 in North Houston

I'm sitting here waiting for the price of race fuel to go down so I can stock up.
