Computer behind passage side kick panel

It was just stuffed into the kick panel with the computer, without anchoring it to anything? On my Malibu, it's crammed in behind the glove box where it's hard to see and feel around. It may be hanging off the plug and resting on the IP harness.

It was just dangling there not mounted to anything. Not even any mounting brackets anywhere for it.

Looks to me like a wire that's been cut, but for some mysterious reason the copper isn't visible. And it looks slightly fatter than the other wires, which is also odd.

The wiring schematic I have only shows one white wire, that goes to the distributor (EST output). I can't tell from your pics if you have another white wire or not, it might be grey?
