This month was interesting as far as the rides go. Great variety...and the turbo buicks finally came out to play 8) Even though all the rides were sweet, we still have to have a winner. 565bbchevy and his Monte Carlo received the most votes with constant projects trailing right behind him.
The winning ride:
Monte Carlo converted into an SS with a Big Block Chevy.
Added SS nose,88 rear bumper, taillights, quarter windows and steering column, I took off the half vinyl top and all the chrome and removed the fender antenna and then mig welded all the holes
I built this 565BBC using a Merlin Race block, Callies 4.25 crank,AFR 335CNC heads,Cam Motion custom roller with 4/7 swap, I port matched a Super Victor and added a Quickfuel 1150 along with a Zex perimeter plate sytem that I made all the brackets for out of aluminum.
I took out the gray interior and added Curello buckets and mounted them to GM power units, installed the roll bar, made a custom gauge panel and all the upper door panels and raised the rear footwell 1.5" to clear my 4.5" exhaust.
The only interior part that is original is the dashpad which I painted. The MSD 7AL-3 is mounted to the backside of the glovebox door and the timing computer is in the pass kick panel
20 gal fuel cell with foam and sender, Zex bottle with heater and a huge Optima battery fill my trunk
Moser 9" with Detroit Locker,410 gear and Wilwood rear disc and the 4" tailpipes I made to go over the axle connected to 4-1/2 exhaust with balance tube and Flowmasters
Thank you to everyone who participated by submitting their ride or voting this month.
I had an idea earlier about letting the winner select the topic or theme for the next month coming up. So if you won you got to decided what requirements there would be for the next month, let me know
