Was thinking about the light/radio delay feature they have on todays cars and thinking it would be nice to have in the Cutlass.
Found this kit.. http://www.painlessperformance.com/webc ... ield=63040 and almost choked when I saw the cost :?

Anybody else looked into this mod?
Any ideas of other ways to achieve this mod? Could a later model GM module be wired into our systems, anybody know?

That's wild, My 78 El Camino came with that. It's just a little green box up under the dash. It plugs in next to the Chimes.
I always thought most of the G-Bodys came that way from the factory. :?

No sh*t eh? Wish I knew how to turn $5 in parts into a $500 pay off 🙁

I have a delay that I wired in with my alarm. When I remote unlock the light goes on for about a minute or until I start the car. They have better ones now, mine is about 5 years old. And now that you mentioned this I'll add it to my winter list. I like the one in the second link

I like that 2nd one better too, not liking the "find a location for the knob" deal on the first. Price is much better on that. I hear you on the "winter list" Seems I have a much easier time making a list than getting anything actually done 😳

Huh, I think I remember pulling a similar thing out during tear down, but sure as hell don't remember the car having a delay on the lighting. Hmmmm

Anyways, would like to have the delay on the headlights as well, anybody got a line on anything for them?

if you hid out in the garage while the mrs put up the Christmas tree and decorations you'd probably find alot in your car that you didn't know was there...

I believe this to be true, however, past experience indicates that if she detects (warranted or not) even a hint more interest in what I have planned for the car as opposed to what I have planned for her, winter will become that much darker
Needless to say I was front and center for the administering of the x-mas treatment to the house this year 😀
