Quadrajets are engine, year, make, and model specific. You'd just need one off a 307 (or a 350 if you ditched the computer). Quick number guide for Qjets:
For example, my qjet has a number of 17058241
Carbs starting with 1705 are from 1975ish to 1979.
The 8 designates it as being from 1978
The 2 denotes a 49 state Quadrajet, a 5 would be for a California calibrated Quadrajet. My guess is it would be leaner than a 49 state, ain't sure.
4 designates Buick, Oldsmobile would be a 5.
The last digit
usually means whether the carb was destined for either an automatic or manual. Even numbers are
usually automatic, and odd numbers are
usually manual, not always the case.
So for example, 17057253 would be a '77 Oldsmobile carb. The numbers don't tell you small or big block, or what type/make of engine, but you can usually infer what type of engine they were on by googling around.
Quadrajetpower.com lets you type in a number (usually they have the carb) at it will give you a little description about it, like this one:

A holley or edelbrock will work, yes. But a quadrajet will
perform. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
