converting heater hose to an lines

So I'm trying to get myself straight for the rest of my build. Has anyone converted the heater hoses to an lines and if so how?
 
im pretty sure i can use these fittings

but im sure it is overkill. but that will give an an fitting out of intake and water pump from 1/2' npt to -10an and the other to -12an. my understanding is that -10an is 5/8" and -12an is 3/4. now that would def make the motor side look nice. but how would i connect to the heater valve and the heater core? would i just use hose clamps? there doesnt seem to be a nice clean way to terminate it at the heater core end in my mind. now i know this seems like overkill. im just trying to get ideas rolling in my head to have almost all my underhood hoses to match.
 
you can use a brass pipe like this to slide over the tubing on the heater, thread it to what you need and then braze or solder it to the existing brass tube on the heater

Looks interesting but this may be more work and cost more than its worth
 
yeah thats really what i am thinking too. but it was an idea
 
if i can find those clamps in black. im going with a black braided hose
 
right, i just want to do everything in black braided nylon
