Hey guys am new to the forum and i have a question to ask. I picked up a stock 78 monte carlo with a 305 and i am in the process of swapping the motor out for a 350. The motor is bored .060 over with aluminum heads 202/160, hydraulic cam 533 555 1.5 rockers, zz4 steel crank, scat rods, forged and coated pistons, and a high rise single plane hurricane intake. My question is will a 3 row aluminum rad with dual 12 inch electric fans "1400 cfm" each be enough to cool the engine?

I have a 355 with an aluminium 2 core rad and 1 16" perma cool fan that pulls 2940 cfm with no shroud and it cools it no problem

are just running the single electric fan or are you also running the fan thats attached to the motor? I know that 350's bored .060 over tend to run a little hotter then 355's but maybe the 3 row will be able to handle it.

ok well i will see what happens when the motor goes in. thanks for the help

you'll be fine. by the single plane intake, i'm guessing it's a drag car, so you won't need long term cooling, and you have aluminum heads which will help cool the engine. just put a manual switch on one of the fans so that you can activate it when you want to.
my 383 (iron heads), with a dual fan setup from a lincoln, a STOCK radiator, and Evans NPG+ coolant runs good without the fans, but when they kick on the temp DROPS!

I am running a 406sbc with a factory brass/copper 3core rad with a 16 in single fan motor is bored out 30 car never gets above 185 with a 160 tstat. The alluminum rads cool better so you should be fine.
