I forgot to mention I'm getting gauges to really see how hot I'm getting stalled out at a light pulled the cap (i kno dumb right) and it looked like Yellowstone national park with a car guyser so yeah overheating nothing was damaged waiting like 3 hours cranked right up and made it home witch was only 3 min away

I would say you have multiple issues first the radiator is too narrow which won't allow a proper width fan shroud and because of that your fan can not work properly since the blades should be approx. halfway in the the shroud to do it's job.
If it is within your budget I would get an all aluminum radiator with at least 3 rows (typically a 31" x 19" fit well) and maybe step up to an electric fan for cooling.

Thanks for the quick response how much juice does the e-fan pull do I need a alt upgrade???

And another question should I leave the original radiator in like this or remove it completely

It depends on what you buy, aftermarket electric fans typically have a listing for start up amperage draw and running amperage, many people run fans off newer cars such as Intrepid fans which I have in my Monte but I upgraded my alternator long ago so the fan is a non issue.

I would remove the radiator and find a better one that was designed for a Gbody in my Regal I installed a Champion 3 row aluminum radiator and it fit perfectly in my stock shroud, later I will be installing a SBC in there and I already have a dual fan Interepid set waiting for the swap but you could run your new radiator with a stock shroud and fan first and will probably resolve your cooling issue.
Below is a picture of my project Regal with the Champion radiator and stock set up and you can see where the blades should be in relationship to the shroud.

I see u still got the original still in there also there original shroud is prob long gone gonna take the lame small one out then take the original useless one out with it slap a 3 row or heavy duty two row for saving cost and replacement shroud if I can find it

Getting the electric fans will solve the problem you have because the fan not being in the shroud is doing you no good.

If you do not have ac in the car or do not plan to put it in then get rid of the ac condensor to allow a clearer path for the air to get through your radiator.

If you keep what you have as far as fan and shroud you might need a different shroud for the smaller radiator that will allow the fan to work properly and avoid overheating. It could be the angle of the pic you took but the fan blades look a few inches above the shroud and the radiator is sitting too low compared to stock? I know it is smaller but maybe some different rubber shims to adjust the radiator height might help?

Good luck with it and hope you figure it out easily and cheaply!

Yea it's a thing 2560x1440
