Well legally its their intellectual property

I would never use the term 'intellectual' to describe anything GM does nowadays!

So where does one cross the line when making legal decals anyway? What criteria do they use to determine if a decal is acceptable for marketing and one that isn't?

If I were able to make decals on my own and wanted to sell them, I would copy the originals exactly and then change one minute aspect that no one would ever notice but would be there, and tell GM to stick it!

Mike,
I'd be very interested in a set for my 442 depending on how many you're able to make.

I have the Phoenix Graphix set on my car, and while they're decent, they're not as nice as I had hoped.
I've been waiting a long time for somebody to make some the proper way...

Still working on making the vector files for the quarters and fenders in AutoCAD for the 442 stripes, the contours are unique and the trimmer needs precision when lining up and cutting them out correctly. Once I complete I'll do a test fit on a spare quarter and fender.
I've had to do most of the graphical work to save $$$$, this isn't a cheap endevour and my free time has been sparse lately.
Also, the ink I am using is an 8 year UV outdoor ink, the highest quality and most durable out there, not the cheap stuff used possibly by most aftermarket vendors. My guy is having programming/technical issues trying to use it in the new equipment, lots is being wasted due to a few bugs that need to be worked out and the stuff isnt cheap... A technician may need to come out... you'd think spending $12,000 wouldn't come with problems.
