Has anyone heard of people putting Corvette C5 wheels on a 87 Monte Carlo SS? The bolt pattern is fine, but the offset is not correct, the new wheels have positive offset while the stock monte rims have negative offset. I could probably use some spacers/adapters but, using a 2 inch spacer or better seems dangerous. I was thinking of maybe using A arms from a 93-01 F body or something like that, that pushes the spindle and hub toward the outside of the car. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

There are two kinds of spacers, the die cast Chinesium ones sold at Pep Boys and the machined, hub-centric ones sold by people like Fred Goeske. I've had Fred's spacers on the back of my crewcab dually for 6-7 years with no problems. Maybe these are what the referenced post calls "adapters", but in reality the bolt pattern isn't changing.
