'though one very important thing that's overlooked on adapters (i define adapters as bolting to the hub and the wheel bolting to them---spacers as sliding over the lugs only) is making sure that they are hub and wheel centric.
the lip on the hub is there for a reason, the lugs do NOT center the wheel and are not meant to carry all the weight of the car. that tiny little lip is VERY important!
