If your worried about costs,talk to a competent machinist with Buick experience about shaving and porting the heads and/or taller pistons. Need to know what kind of compression your wanting.I don't know what your engine is stock,but you can't go much above 9.0 - 9.5 on todays pump gas(generally and not carved in stone!).

All I know is a guy at my work has a 455 in his 70's "big-body" Old's 98 coupe. That thing is a MONSTER. End of story.
