hi everyone, I was wondering if i had to get a new cross member for the lt1/4l60e swap? my car came with a 305/200r4 tarns any help would be good thanks

youll have to get one for the 700r4 i believe. check out the search feature and look at some of our vendors.
GM used a few different mounting configurations (and tailshaft housings too) for the back of 700s/4L60s
You might be able to re-use the existing crossmember - some people re-use them and just notch the driver's side for dual exhaust.

yea i was told that i might be able to use my stock cross member, but i had to notch the driver side for the exhaust, i just wanted some one to confirm, thanks for the help
My car originally came with a n/a v6 and had an off-center mount for the 200 on a small "arm" with one bolt.
When I switched over to the 700R/4L60 I used a different tailshaft housing that has two threaded holes on the base (and no "arm")

i will get under the car tomorrow, then i will check to see if it going to work, I been trying to decide what i want to do as far as the speedo
