This project i started about 6 months ago and finally finished it and installed it before Slamfest.
Here are some pictures along the way, i changed the location of the plexi glass twice before i was happy with the results and had done a sh*t load of sanding.

if i was to do it again, i would wrap the vinyl better because most of the imperfections came from the wrap, but it was my first time doing a big fiberglass piece like this and my first wrap.

Started with a frame

I used ponte which is like a material used in like under armour shirts i guess.
i also used staples to attach it to the wood frame, but i would suggest hot glue or something that can dry very fast.

I forgot to take pictures throughout the fiberglass stage, but i had to lay down a whole bunch of plastic to protect the interior from the fiberglass as it drips off.

once i was able to take the frame down it took about 3 layers of fiberglass mat to get it nice and solid.

Huge respect for the work you have put into it.

Great job.

I made my own headliner as well, but will have to redo it due to using short lasting material for it:/ the vinyl has a few crinkles due to it being my first time doing so. But my biggest mistake was to use too thick foam padding, and not letting the adhesive dry for a long enough time before mounting it..

Appreciate It man.
This was my first time doing a big piece like this so it was also a huge learning experience for me as well.
Most of the imperfections came from when I layed the glue for the vinyl because it globbed up in some places

Holy Jesus t*ts got enough bass?! Lol im digging the headliner. I cant imagine hitting a bump and having that thing come down on you!

Haha thanks.
It's not going anywhere, it's screwed through the supports on the roof and I also used the stock panels that hold in stock headliner right above the windows/door

I think the headliner would be a lot cooler in a car without two huge subs moving serious air right next to it. Aren't you concerned those flimsy screws are going to come flying out after about 5 minutes of pumping serious wang at the show? I bet they shoot out of the piece like bullets and it all comes crashing right down... Or is that kind of thing encouraged for effect at the sound show?

lol I just came up w/ the best joke. If that headliner came down during the sound show, it would be like: WOMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP WOMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP WOMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP hahahahaha j/k man stupid joke

Well I actually have 4 15's in the car.
And I do have video footage of the headliner flexing very little in the video.
Those screws are tightened pretty solid on all 3 of the supports that are located along the roof. So every one of those screws would have to come loose along with the stock panels that hold the headliner up along the sides of the door windows

Nice wall! Got a dB number? How much juice?

I built a dB Drag car for a friend back in the day. It was doing 155.7 with 2 Rockford Power 15s. I'm trying to get him to scan the pictures in. People just don't believe the stories.

Thanks man.
I do a 155.7 on termlab @ 49hz
On 10k watts
