Obviously, the simple pull up door locks are way too easy for car theives to grab with a coat hanger and take off with your ride. Inside the doors, the rod going to the latch just moves back and forth, so I was thinking that I could make some kind of slider that moves horizontally. What do you guys think?

If they can't unlock the door, they will bust a window. Spend your time building an ignition cutoff switch.

Or buy door lock knobs without a shoulder. Makes it really tough to grab onto.

But like Black Sheep mentioned, your better off trying to keep them from even starting the car.

Yeah that's true. It was just a thought.
